Choosing copywriting services when you’ve got several ones that have tested well and interviewed even better can be painful, and with good reason.  They’re both great, but which one is better?

You need more than a gut instinct …that’s where the danger lies.

It’s typical to want to simply trust your gut and choose the first one, or the one that you like the most in rates or other details.  But you have to remember that copywriting services, when you bring them on, should be long-term and closely aligned to your needs.

This means no relying on your gut for who to hire.  Externalize the decision to those tough questions you didn’t ask in the first round of interviews.

This answer can be a wild card, but it’s a good one.  They’ll use a lot of the industry terms like “clean” and “professional” and “engaging”.  Then, they’ll be able to elaborate with other details that will expose how they see their own work — is this in line with what you want?  Why or why not?

Interview questions for copywriters tend to focus a lot on, well direct response copywriting, looking over copy examples, or asking for recommendations from past clients.

  10. How fast can you deliver high-quality content? Tell me about your process?
